Just Like Mary

Just like Mary all those years ago who carried something great, so we too are carriers of promise and destiny.

Just like Mary, whose circumstances were not conducive to what God had called her to do – she was young, poor, single – not exactly material for carrying the King. Just like Mary we feel our outside surroundings don’t match our inner dream. But just like Mary God calls us anyway.

Just like Mary, we find that when people don’t realise what’s inside us, there’s no room at the inn. But also just like Mary, God will send people, like he sent the kings to her, to recognise and honour what’s inside us.

What God has placed inside us will always come to birth, so this Christmas, may we say, just like Mary, “Let it be to me according to your word.”
